With over 30 years of leadership, consulting, and systems integration experience, having served in various senior executive level positions, Dr. Linda Singh offers a blend of public and private sector experience that spans health, defense, state, and local government.
As the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kaleidoscope Affect LLC, she provides leadership and strategic advisory services for a variety of clients. Dr. Singh is transitioning from the Interim Executive Director and CEO of TEDCO which focused on investing and helping grow early stage technology and life sciences companies to fuel economic development and growth. Prior to that she served as a Major General in the Maryland National Guard, dedicating more than 38 years of service. As the Adjutant General and a Cabinet Secretary she was responsible for the Maryland Military Department. As part of her military role she worked with senior level officials at ministerial and ambassador levels in Estonia and Bosnia developing country strategies under the Department of Defense State Partnership Program. Dr. Singh retired from Accenture in 2016, she was a Managing Director in the Health and Public Service North America Operating Unit where she served for 21 years.
Dr. Singh personally mentors, coaches and speaks on leadership, diversity, adversity, career transition and issues that plague women and veterans in the workplace. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Strategic Studies and a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is the author of “Moments of Choice: My path to leadership” and “What’s in Your Box” which is schedule for early 2020 release.
Dr. Singh is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Gallup Strengths Coach and John Maxwell certified trainer and speaker. She has received numerous awards, among them are the 2013 DiversityMBA Top 100 under 50 Diverse Emerging Leaders, The Network Journal 25 Influential Black Women in Business Award for 2014 and recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for 2015. She was also inducted into the Maryland Women’s Hall of Fame in March 2015. She was also featured on the Today Show for her history making leadership team and named as one of InStyle’s Badass 50 in July 2019.
General Wright has more than 30 years of documented success as a senior military officer in a wide range of results-oriented programs to include command and control, acquisitions, and budgeting. His executive success providing Air Force and Air National Guard resources to war efforts and domestic operations and emergencies helps lead Vital Guidance various business lines. Before joining our VG’s advisory board, Gen. Wright had a distinguished track record of leading multi-disciplined teams from government, industry, and educational fields. His sustained superior leadership and expertise in government relations, strategic planning, program management, international relations and domestic operations are key components to guiding Vital Guidance to an international brand for helping people in the areas of their Relationships, Health, and Finance. His highly decorated military career also includes a master’s degree International Relations from Troy State University and a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of South Carolina.
David has utilized his professional and Six Sigma skills to lead change in various roles since 1992. He has served in various military roles enabling him to shape the Marine Corps while rising to the rank of Colonel. He has additionally been employed in varying capacities, successfully supporting senior executives of multiple Fortune 500 companies. In his professional work, he has developed and/or improved corporate operations through the utilization of his skills in change management, Six Sigma, and general leadership. Holding a Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification from two companies and achieving CMMI Certification (for software development) for a corporate IT department serve central in his efforts and success to improve business operations. In concert with his military service education, he possesses a Bachelor of Business Studies in Economics and an MBA in International Business.
Post David’s 2013 deployment to Afghanistan, he has refocused his corporate skills experience and professional education to the development of smaller and midsize businesses and emphasizing personal financial growth. He has worked in various roles serving mainly in an operations consulting capacity. However, his work has spanned internal corporate operations, acquisition financing, and the relocation of manufacturing operations. Additionally, David’s thought leadership on personal financial growth continues to gain traction, support, and interest among his peers. His aggressive style and committed intent to having and enabling others to participate in the successful financial growth of this country are key to his platform, guidance, and commitment to others.
After graduating from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and serving a tour at sea on the USCGC Steadfast in St. Petersburg, FL, Commander Tjomsland completed flight training in the HH-65A Dolphin helicopter. She qualified as a maintenance officer, instructor pilot, and standardization pilot while deploying throughout the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, and the Pacific rim. She later became the Aeronautical Engineering Department Head in Corpus Christi, TX, and her roles included facilitator, leadership trainer, and career mentor.
After meeting her husband, Dale, she joined the USCG Reserve and helped him run several franchise retail businesses while serving as the Senior Reserve Officer in Miami and St. Petersburg. Her boys, Cade and Cody, were still young when she retired and launched her second career as a homeschool teacher. For the past 15 years, she has contracted with Classical Conversations, Inc. as a tutor, director, mentor, convention speaker, practicum facilitator, and trainer in the Classical, Christian, and Community education model for students and families.
Col. Jackson, with more than 22 years of Active Army commitment and service to our nation, has a diverse background with proven superior leadership, organizational design, inter-agency & Defense Support to Civilian Authorities (DSCA) experiences. As a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, & Nuclear (CBRN) Officer, he has served at every echelon staff position from Battalion up to CORPS. He has also served in every key developmental leadership & command position from Platoon Level as a Lieutenant, Company Commander as a Captain, and Battalion Commander as a Lieutenant Colonel. Coupled with this diverse background, Col. Jackson also has experience in Human Resource Management, Interagency Fellowship Program with Department of Health and Human Services, Planning Officer for DSCA contingencies as well as a Planner in Strategy and Policy. He has been deployed in support of Operations Desert Sprint in Kuwait, Operation Iraqi Freedom I in Iraq, and Operation Enduring Freedom/Resolute Support in Afghanistan. In addition, he has served in overseas assignments in Germany and Hawaii. Not limited to only operational experiences, he was also instrumental in building CBRN partnership capacity for the Philippine Army, Essential Functions Trainer in Bydgoszcz, Poland along with other Joint & NATO assignments. Col. Jackson also brings experiences in recruiting, strategic planning, building Partnerships outside the US, and lastly coaching and mentoring thousands of Soldiers and their family members. His unique skill sets are an integral component of our core principles which remain committed to helping people with their Relationships, Health, and Finance. His highly decorated military career includes a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management and Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Corporate Finance from Saint Mary’s University where he maintained a basketball scholarship before receiving his ROTC Commission from ST. Mary in 1998. Col. Jackson enjoys family time, reading, martial arts, sports, motorcycling and a host of other industrial & technological endeavors and activities.
Monte brings Fortune 50 executive-level experience to Vital Guidance’s advisory team having spent many years in the fast growing Wireless Telecommunications industry mostly in Vice President and General Manager positions with Verizon Wireless. After his time in wireless telecom, Monte helped lead SRS as Executive Vice President/Partner and Board of Directors member to an Inc. 500 and Black Enterprise 100s multi-million dollar company delivering high quality projects and services to the Federal Government and Commercial marketplace in multiple states. With core capabilities of Facilities Operations & Maintenance, Disaster Recovery Services and Construction Management Services, SRS was recognized as an Inc. 500 company, Southeast 8 State Region Dept. of Transportation (DOT) DBE of the Year, Top 100 Department of Homeland Security Contractor in the U.S., and District SBA 8(a) Company of the Year. Monte holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and enjoys serving the community thru present and past Board of Directorships with Junior Achievement of GA, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, United Way, Salvation Army, University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) Board of Visitors, YMCA and multiple Chambers of Commerce. Monte is a Leadership Atlanta graduate and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, 100 Black Men of Atlanta (past Membership Chairman), and the Cornell Admissions Ambassadors Network. He enjoys reading, golfing, helping small businesses, college sports and physical fitness.
